# Common questions:
What distro(s) do you use?
* Office PC: Manjaro GNOME
* Laptop: Manjaro GNOME
* GPD WIN 2: Manjaro GNOME
* Steam Machine: Manjaro GNOME
* Server: Ubuntu 18.04

# What do you use to edit your videos?
Audio editing: Audacity
Video editing: KdenLive

# Why aren’t you using other video services like LBRY or PeerTube?
I am on LBRY: https://beta.lbry.tv/@TheLinuxGamer and I also have a BitChute mirror.
Most PeerTube instances have a data quota that just doesn’t serve my channel well. My videos are high-res (4K) and I’d exceed most quotas in one or two videos.

# What are your machines specs?
Office Rig:
* AMD Ryzen 7 1800x
* AMD Vega 64
* 32 GB RAM
* Manjaro GNOME

Steam Machine:
* Intel Core i7 at 3.8 GHz
* Nvidia GTX 970 4GB
* 12 GB RAM
* Manjaro GNOME

Backup Rig:
* Intel Core i5 at 3.4 GHz
* Nvidia GTX 750 Ti
* 8 GB of RAM

Server:
* AMD FX 6300 at 3.5 GHz
* Nvidia GTX 750 1GB
* 8 GB RAM

  1. So he met with you thinking it would give some publicity to the phone, and then you put the meeting behind Patreon so people have to pay to see it lol. Nice. You sound more like a Microsoft guy.

  2. I really wish this takes off, I can't wait for more reviews. I'm only concerned about my banking app working and perhaps pocket casts and audible. Don't care for much else.

  3. Can it run any navigation app? Because that's my main usage scenario of an Android phone, beside calls, texts and web. Also ordering uber/bolt/taxi is essential.

  4. Glad to see the phone taking shape. It's what is needed for the open source community in the modern world. A few have worked on this idea ,but has never gotten this far. Including Google. Also, libhybris was a ting, is it still a thing. to run Android apps in a standard libc environment.

  5. I am very excited for the librem 5 but..
    They could have chosen a better presenter to promote the Librem 5 with
    13:00 like, they have the same, like, this is like…
    I absolutely do not understand why you would not decide to not use that part in the video, and the way hes talking isn't much better in the rest of the video.

  6. If this phone isn't a thing, then I'll just ditch my current Android phone. I can't do this anymore. This phone looks insanely serviceable.

    I'm looking forward to distrohopping on my phone. It's beautiful.

  7. The best part of it will also be the worst problem sadly. The full open system will be the issue some services will hold against it. Like digital signature things for example.

    Hope this thing goes so huge that those arguments could not stop support for it though.

  8. Think these won't be relevant? Look at used Sharp SL-5500 prices. Think the ecosystem won't explode? Did any of you have a Sharp SL-5500? All sorts of support from the user base. I think these will be huge.

  9. ..so toad just got you a prop of a bricked brick to shill on your channel… wasn't the "software " the whole justification for charging $700 for mediocre hardware ?

  10. It'd be great to have an IDE similar to Android Studio for developing apps. While I haven't tried making apps for android in a few years, I remember how intuitive it was and while using it I almost forgot how much I hate java.

  11. Hi, first thing is I am looking to get this phone, for the linux capabilities, hard switches and the development potential but to be fair, I can feel the difference between one object, and another object that is twice as thick, same with the screen, i don't care that it would have a 720p screen, but if someone tells me that the screen is better that another flagship phone, it raises an eyebrow… Again, I will be getting this phone, but it is unrealistic to think the screen is better that flagship android or apple products. but love the show, and the phone… just taking a realistic approach.

  12. I really hope this takes off to become the next major mobile operating system. 🙏🏾 Would like to see it get to 1080p@60FPS and have another colour option for the body. 😉 And for some reason, I also love the thickness of this phone. 🧱
