Linux Commands for Beginners: 08 – More About The File System

Welcome to my Linux Commands for Beginners tutorial series, where I’ll show you how to use the Linux Command shell (specifically Bash) one command at a time. This series aims to take you from a beginner to an advanced user, one video at a time.

This video goes into a bit more detail about the Linux file system, and how the folders are structured.

  1. Great lecture. I'm on lecture 8 and thoroughly enjoying it. Proper speed of talk with clear explanation. Greatly appreciated for putting out these informative videos.

  2. This video series has been very helpful to me as I want to learn more about the Terminal and how to use it. I recently began using Linux Mint pretty much full-time from Windows after dabbling with Ubuntu on and off for a little while. I really appreciated this lesson on the file structure. I was wondering what the heck all these folders were and this was a great overview.
